Answer: Not much

Everything is quiet on the adoption front. We are waiting for our USCIS fingerprint appointment date. We keep busy – I am traveling during the week and hubbie is taking two master classes.

Yesterday, I went on a little baby shopping adventure with my mom and cousin (who has an adorable little one who is just learning to stand). We visited Great Beginnings in Gaithersburg, MD. They claim to be the “nations largest baby store”. It is large and overwhelming — it had EVERYTHING. My cousin stocked up on baby-proofing items and I bought my first baby item in a long time (at least for our little one). It was a photo book — many of the adoption books suggest sending a small photo album in the baby’s care package (a small box of goodies you send once you receive the referral and before you travel for the baby and care takers).

Last Saturday, we spent the day around DC. We visited the National Zoo, the Air Force Memorial and the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in just a few short hours. This is why we live here… I have posted some pictures. Both of the memorials are very moving. I encourage everyone to read a little abou the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial. It is very hard to describe and is worth a visit.

I spent last weekend in Seattle with some very good friends (and their two cutie pie kids). We covered a lot a ground – the zoo, dinners out, a little shopping, and wakeboarding on Lake Sammamish. I failed miserably at wakeboarding, but I did get some good pictures of Seattle from the Golf Club at New Castle. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

China has referred through 2/9/06 — for those of you who are keeping count, that is 9 whole days!  Congrats to all of the new parents… want to see some pics of the wee ones? Check out this link: http://chinaadopttalk.com/2008/09/02/babies-15/
